        1. Indonesia'a Bandung to host world music festival in July

          JAKARTA, July 18 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's West Java capital of Bandung was scheduled to host 2018 Matasora World Music Festival (MWMF) from July 21 to 22 in which musical groups of 15 nations would join, the organizer said.

          Head of 2018 MWMF organizing committee Satria Yanuar Akbar said three stages in an area of 2,000-meter-square will be constructed in Bandung's Cijaringao Ecoland to host the international musical event.

          Besides music and singing performances, the festival will also feature traditional dance performances, film festival, arts workshops and talk shows.

          The participants this year are from Norway, Japan, India, Burkina Faso, Malaysia, Argentina, the United States, Britain, Italy, Germany, Yemen, the Philippines and Spain, Satria said.

          Indonesian Tourism Minister Arief Yahya said that the event has now been listed in the national cultural event calendar, and it intensively involves artists, arts communities, schools, the government and business sectors.
