BEIJING, May 14 (Xinhua) -- The 2025 China Internet Civilization Conference (CICC) is scheduled to take place on June 10 to 11 in Hefei, east China's Anhui Province. The event will emphasize the cultivation of cyber civilization among young netizens and the nationwide enhancement of digital literacy, its organizers said on Wednesday.
Themed on gathering positive energy online and fostering new trends of the times, the two-day event will consist of an opening ceremony, a main forum, 14 sub-forums, and themed events showcasing sci-tech achievements and innovations, Yang Jianwen, deputy chief of the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission and the Cyberspace Administration of China, said at a press conference in Beijing.
A series of achievements in cyber civilization development will be released during the event.
China's young netizens, now numbering 540 million, represent a vital force in the advancement of the cyber civilization, Yang said, adding that a youth internet civilization initiative will be released during the main forum of this year's CICC.
The conference will be jointly held by the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission and the Central Commission for Guiding Cultural and Ethical Progress, along with Anhui provincial authorities. ■
