XI'AN, China, July 11 (Xinhua) -- China will host Germany, Iran and Nigeria in a four-nation Belt and Road International Basketball Tournament on July 24-26, organizers announced on Wednesday.

China will send the Olympic national team, which consists of young players, to compete at the tournament.

Patrick Baumann, Secretary General of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), shared his expectations with the media. "Xi'an has a marvelous landscape and a solid foundation of basketball. I hope all the players and fans enjoy the matches here," Baumann said.

The capital city in northwestern China's Shaanxi Province has made an agreement with the Chinese Basketball Association that Xi'an will host this tournament for the next three years.?
